They've managed to grow sperm from embryonic stem cells of mice. The experiment involved implanting the grown sperm into infertile male mice, which actually transformed into full grown, healthy, functioning sperm.
The mice that received the sperm then went on to reproduce themselves, which brings great hope to millions of people struggling with infertility.
