The findings illustrated that couples tend to share more or less information on social media, depending on which partner is feeling stigmatized.
Generally however, women end up 'saving face' for their husbands, and in turn face even more stigma as a result.
Regardless, women often utilize social media as a support tool, whereas men lean on their wives as a main source of emotional support.
