Impact of Sex on Our Brain

Sex- we all yearn for it. It makes our brain feel a sudden whirlwind of joy and overwhelming emotions that blocks us out of our mundane everyday lives.

Apart from the indescribable pleasure sex yields; thoughts of sexual striving can make your brain grow.

New research states that the added benefits of sex on a regular basis give an individual more alertness and intensified learning ability.

In a 2010 Princeton research study, brain growth was compared between sexually active rats and rats that rarely or never had sex. The scientists encompassed adult male rats with “sexually receptive” female mates. Some had sex once a day for two weeks, others had sex only once in two weeks.

Both groups of sexually active rats showed a significant increase in the number of brain cells created in the area of the brain that succeeds our memory, when compared to the virgin male rats in that time span.

The results further showed that the rats that only had sex one every two weeks had suggestively higher stress levels, which compromised brain growth.

Here's another scientifically-proven study to take as an excuse to hit the hay with your special someone.
Stay healthy and keep it safe with protected sex.
