Botox also has other medical purposes, like for relaxing leg muscles in cerebral palsy patients. These injections give some patients a new lease on life, and are often very effective.
Just like procedures such as breast augmentation, liposuction, and nose surgery, Botox does come with some very significant risks if not administered by a licensed medical professional (i.e. a doctor or nurse).
The term risk however, was taken to a whole new level when we met Britney Campbell and her mother Kerry on Good Morning America last week. In the interview, Kerry unapologetically admits that she administers Botox injections to her 8-year-old daughter Britney to get rid of the "wrinkles" in her face.
Her excuse is they compete in pageants, and the competition is tough.
