Black Market Plastic Surgery: Another Victim Loses Her Life

The number of patients undergoing plastic surgery procedures has practically doubled in the last decade. Now it is easier than ever to make everything from small tweaks to your look, to an entire body makeover.

There are thousands of reputable doctors around the world who specialize in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery procedures. No matter what part of the world you find yourself in, you can generally find a trusted and certified surgery clinic to meet your plastic surgery needs.

While this is good news, there is also a dark side of plastic surgery that patients should be aware of.

Black market plastic surgery happens everywhere, even in the United States. Unfortunately for patients who choose to go this route, the results can lead to health problems and sometimes even death.

One story focuses on Elena Caro, who died on April 10 in Las Vegas after receiving a buttock augmentation procedure from two unlicensed "doctors" from Colombia. For the rest of the story, click here.

We want to hear from you!
