Tanning Beds are Terrible for the Skin

According to a recent study, tanning beds are much more dangerous than previously thought.

Dermatologist Dr. Doris Day said, "Indoor tanning is like smoking for your skin. It's the single worst thing you can do in terms of skin cancer and premature aging."

The study found that UVA rays, once thought of a practically harmless, actually penetrate the deep layers of the skin, causing a significant increase for the risk of skin cancer.

Baking under this artificial light causes rapid aging, and permanent damage to the DNA of the skin cells.

Scientists hope that this study can be an eye-opener for the sun worshipers of the world. Tanning doesn't actually give a "healthy" glow...it's actually the quite opposite.

Unless you are a fan of sunspots, wrinkles, sagging skin and cancer, dermatologists recommend using a high spf sunscreen, and quit the use of tanning beds all together.
