A New Level of Vision Correction: Implantable Contact Lenses

A new eye care procedure promises to make patients see in High-Definition, and it works on those with even the worst vision.

It's officially called Visian ICL, an implantable contact lens that has proven to be a permanent (yet reversible), effective solution for vision correction. The lenses are placed inside the eye in a simple 15 minute procedure, and recovery time is only a couple of days.

CNN editor Katherine Dillinger shared her experience with readers. She wrote, “Three years after the procedure, my vision is 20/15, better than ever. No more squinting at the bedside clock or toting contact lenses (and all the accessories) when I travel. For me, perfect vision is worth the price.”
