Paul Brian lost 240 lbs with weight loss surgery |
After receiving thigh lift and tummy tuck procedures, something still didn't seem right to Brian.
He told Today Health, "You’re so overwhelmed with the joy of losing the weight, but there’s this point of realization. You look in the mirror and you say, oh, that’s not good."
He's talking about the major changes in his face. Post weight loss, he experienced sagging skin, wrinkles, loose jowls and heavy bags under the eyes, and apparently this is more common than we may think.
But Brian's need for more plastic surgery didn't stem from cosmetic motivations, his extra face and neck skin was making it difficult for Brian to talk and keep himself clean.
His plastic surgeon explained, “What’s happening is his neck is so large because of the extra skin. The muscles are pulling things down, making it hard for him to talk without drooling.”
After paying $70,000 out of pocket for bariatric and body contouring plastic surgery, Brian simply cannot afford to undergo $20,000 worth of additional plastic surgery procedures. But the fact is, this scenario is a medical necessity.
Unfortunately, insurance companies won't help him with the costs of his facelift, eye lift and neck lift, so what are his other options?
