Awareness for Autism

April marks the Autism awareness month. According to recent studies, one in 50 school kids suffer from an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

The figures have swollen up from the previous one in 88 children, reported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Recent studies also show that autism is four to five times more common among boys than girls. An estimated 1 out of 54 boys and 1 in 252 girls are diagnosed with autism in the US.
While there are no clear causes of autism, early diagnosis and behavioral intervention can be devised to address special needs and help you cope with an autistic child.

With continuing efforts to achieve awareness about several aspects of autism, we will be able to triumph against this devastating disease.
