More women have PIP implants than originally thought

One year ago, British officials sent a warning to all women who have had breast augmentation surgery. It was estimated that at least 55,000 women had dangerous PIP brand implants, a product of French implant producer PIP.

A year later PIP is now going out of business, but plastic surgeons are still very concerned about these patients. Experts now say that the number of women with these implants could be 100,000, but nobody is coming forward for examination.
