For many Asian countries, including South Korea, Philippines, China and Thailand, plastic surgery is in vogue.
Why?
Because many Asians of all ages want a more "Westernized" face, and will go to great lengths to get the look they want. Plastic surgery procedures like eyelid lift (blepharoplasty), nose surgery (rhinoplasty) and Botox are widely used to get that "western" look so many people are craving.
And what's more surprising, kids as young as 12 are undergoing these procedures with the encouragement of their parents. Asian children these days already have a lot of pressure on them academically, and now parents want them to have the ideal look, so they can get ahead in the workplace and in romantic relationships.
